One night, Derek was leaving to go to the grocery store when, all of a sudden, under a car, there was a dog. He decided that if it's still there when he comes back, then he'll do something.

When he got back, he got Toni because the dog was still underneath the car. They asked neighbors for a crate. Once they had a crate, they brought him inside using a trail of salami.

The following morning, Derek woke Dylan up and took him downstairs to the laundry room, where there was a crate, and then, all of a sudden, a little dog walked out. That's when we first met Eddie.

Since then, Eddie has gone to the beach and the forest, two of his favorite activities, and he has also enjoyed his nightly walks.
